Positive Education Day 2020 – Colour Your Threads for PosEd!

This year’s theme is From Strength to Strength in Tough Times. For PosEd Day 2020, we will focus on character strengths -  your own, and the strengths of those around you, which have helped us get through a difficult year and support one another.

Although bushfires and the Coronavirus pandemic have thrown some enormous challenges at us this year, through tough times we learn, develop resilience, and grow.

On PosEd Day we encourage students and staff to “Colour Your Threads for PosEd” by wearing colourful clothes to make wellbeing visible in our schools.

Let's work together to raise awareness and understanding of Positive Education, and to encourage students, teachers, families and the community to learn and talk about how to grow their own wellbeing, and support the wellbeing of those around them.

Our goal is to support disadvantaged schools and their communities to embed Positive Education and wellbeing.

In 2020, we will do this by providing scholarships to the PESA 2021 National Conference for teachers from disadvantaged schools to help them advance their school’s Positive Education journey. (These will be allocated to the teachers who were awarded scholarships this year, but whose scholarships were unfortunately put "on hold" owing to the cancellation of our 2020 conference.)  We hope funds raised this year will allow us to offer additional teachers the same opportunity.

This year’s Positive Education Day will be celebrated on 4 November (but if that date isn't convenient, you're welcome to celebrate any other day that week!)

Register your interest today!  There is no cost to schools to participate, but we will ask that schools collect a gold coin donation from participating students if possible.
